Attended National IP Conference, 2022 organized Controller General of Patents, Design and Trade Marks, DPIIT and Capacity Building Commission. The conference aimed on Strengthening IP Ecosystem for catalyzing the growth of Knowledge Economy.
The Conference was two days (14th and 15th October, 2022) event with intent to bring the IP Officers, Creators and Practitioners on one platform to discuss futuristic IP challenges related to developmental issues.
The Conference majorly focused on Increasing the Patent Filings, Commercialization of Geographical Indications, Increasing Manpower in the Department, Framework for the protection of our Songs, Dances, Creative Minds and Our Artists, Greater Enforcement Policies in place, Massive IP awareness and outreach, Streamlining the system, Fixed timelines and digitalization of cumbersome processes.
Sh. Amitabh Kant, Sherpa G 20, Former CEO Niti Aayog, Former Secretary recommended that the Patent Office must be treated as a Science and Technology Office.
Justice Pratiba M Singh, sitting Judge of Delhi High Court recommended creating a special panel of IP legal experts to represent IP offices to assist the courts.
Some of the most inspiring and brilliant minds from different sectors and industries were present. All the panel discussions were very enriching.
